Who we are
MotionKnit is AI video generation software. The Service is provided from www.motionknit.com. You can reach a person at support@motionknit.com — questions about an order or a refund reach a human, not a form.
The Service
MotionKnit takes a script and a voiceover that you supply and assembles them into a video: it cuts the script into beats, sources real footage and photographs for each beat from public sources, aligns captions to your voiceover, applies colour grades and transitions, and returns both a rendered video and an editable timeline.
The Service is an editing engine. It does not write your script and it does not record your voiceover. You supply both.
Accounts
You must give a valid email address and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly at support@motionknit.com if you believe it has been used without your permission.
One person or organisation per account. Do not share credentials, resell access, or create multiple accounts to obtain more than one allocation of free or promotional credits.
You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
Your content, and who owns what
You keep everything you bring. Your script, your voiceover and any media you upload remain yours. We claim no ownership of them.
You own the output. The video and the project timeline the engine assembles from your inputs are yours to publish, monetise and edit, with no further licence fee and no attribution requirement.
You grant us only the licence we need in order to run the Service: to store, process, transmit and transform your inputs for the purpose of producing your video, and to keep the result available to you in your account. That licence ends when you delete the project or close the account.
We do not use your scripts, voiceovers or output to train models.
Sourced footage, and what you are responsible for
The engine locates existing footage and photographs from public sources and assembles them against your script. It screens candidates automatically for watermarks, burned-in text and other defects, but automated screening is not a rights clearance.
You are responsible for satisfying yourself that your finished video is suitable for the use you put it to, including any territory-specific or platform-specific requirements. If a particular shot is unsuitable, the timeline is editable and you can replace it before you publish.
Tell us at support@motionknit.com if you believe material surfaced by the Service infringes your rights, and identify the work and the project. We act on well-founded reports.
Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to produce or distribute material that is unlawful; that harasses, defames or endangers a person; that sexualises minors; that impersonates a real person or organisation in order to deceive; or that is intended to defraud.
Do not attempt to breach, probe or circumvent the Service's security or billing, interfere with other users, scrape the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
Do not exceed the documented limits by automation — including the 80 MB upload ceiling, the accepted file types, and any rate limits applied to the API.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is not deliberate we will tell you what the problem is first.
Credits, plans and billing
The Service is billed in credits, which are spent per finished minute of video rather than per attempt. Plans grant a monthly allocation; pay-as-you-go buys a fixed number of minutes. Credits do not expire while the account is open, and a plan renewal tops your balance up rather than resetting it.
An estimate is held against your balance before a render begins and settled against the actual runtime when it finishes. If the render costs less than the estimate, the difference is returned. You are never billed above the estimate you were shown.
Prices are shown in US dollars and exclude any tax that may apply where you are. Payment is handled by a third-party payment processor; we do not receive or store your card details.
We may change prices. A change never affects credits you have already bought, and we will give notice before it affects a recurring plan.
Availability
We aim to keep the Service available and running, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Rendering depends on GPU capacity and on third-party services, and either can be temporarily unavailable.
We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the Service altogether we will give reasonable notice and a window in which to download your projects.
Termination
You may close your account at any time from Settings. Closing it deletes your projects and their media; unused credits are forfeited on voluntary closure except where the Refund Policy says otherwise.
We may suspend or close an account for a breach of these terms, for non-payment, or where we are required to by law.
Disclaimers and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars. We are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you deal with us as a consumer, you keep every right your local consumer-protection law gives you and nothing here reduces it.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top of this page changes when we do. For a material change we will give notice by email or in the product before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you deal with us as a consumer resident elsewhere, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the place where you live.
